About the Role

As an AI Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of AI research and product development, and prototype, test and deploy improvements to Cody, our AI workflow assistant.

You will ship improvements to our agentic system to ensure Cody becomes more accurate, performant and personalized in building complex automations. This is an opportunity for individual contributors driven by applying technical heuristics and theoretical concepts to a product targeted towards a mass market.

Core responsibilities

• Researching and implementing state-of-the-art methods in context engineering and model training for workflow building, UI generation and code synthesis.
• Running A/B tests and user experiments to improve generation quality.
• Bridging the gap between research and production, bringing cutting-edge techniques into a stable and scalable environment.

You might be a good fit if you

• enjoy wearing multiple hats and can move fast with competing deadlines and loosely defined priorities
• have experience in research engineering, applied ML, or related fields
• have excellent engineering skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• have experience working with open and closed-source LLMs and context engineering
• (bonus) a solid understanding of modern frontend technologies (React, Tailwind, etc.).
